Making a Deadline...
I've now given myself a date to get the Children's High Fantasy book completed and then sent out on submission.
It is going to be all hands on deck for me for a little while, so I may vanish for a bit.
I've picked a few Literary Agents that I think might like the story.
I'll keep the blog updated.

Continuing the First Draft...
Now I'm separating the work up into books and I'll be going over them so they have their own arc, and follow on from each other properly.
I've also got titles for every book in this full series.
This may be my biggest work I've ever done...

Notebooks Haul: May 2023...

I got this notebook as it has a reusable cover. It has a zip pocket at the back, too:
And nice little pocket notebooks. There are three in this pack:
And I got the A5 ones to match. There's four in this pack. These are extra nice thanks to the edge cut. The covers are quite pretty:
I also got this too. It even has a pocket in the back this time (which I promptly put one of the small notebooks in):

Going for 90k...
Good morning!
Got all of the housework done yesterday, and so for the rest of the week, I can focus on my book.
In the afternoon, I wrote:
1'339 words
(85'034 in total)
I stopped at 85k, as it's a nice milestone. I'm going to aim for 90k today. When I say "aim", I actually mean aim for it. I'll get as close as I can. I have loads of scenes to write, so...
I've made tea, my laptop is charged, I'm just finishing a video I'm watching and then I can get going.
I also have washing to do...

Okay, I crashed out at 87k today. There was something wrong with a scene I was working in, and when I looked into it, I may have made some contradicting decisions. I will have to go back to plotting for a bit to see if I can work out what the bloomin' 'ek I was going on about. 😅
Forgot how much more trickier it is to do novels than short stories. Haha.

Coronation, Bank Holiday and First Draft Plans...
The Coronation weekend was ace.
I've never eaten so much trifle in such a small space of time.😅
On the Monday evening (and I for once didn't have to work the Bank Holiday thanks to annual leave this week), I worked on the Children's High Fantasy and wrote 2'268 words, taking the total for that to 83'695 so far.
Eventually, this is going to have to be split into separate books, as I still have a way to go and over 100k is too large for the age it's aimed at.
As I'm off, I'll be attempting to complete the first draft this week, so I'll be able to see what's a good end point for a book within the arc.
This morning though, I have a lot of housework to do, so I better get on with that first before I fire up the computer and get cracking.
I've planned my day in my small organiser, and it's about 8.30am, so now is a good time to start.

Jogging: Day Two...
Second time jogging today. Did a bit better than my first attempt last week.
I'm sticking with jog-a-street-walk-a-street for now, since I've only just started.
Today, I jogged two streets and walked one, each time (it takes about one street walking to ease my asthma-throbbing lungs!😅). But I think I'll go back to one each next time, as it was a bit of a stretch. Then at home I did a few sit ups, push ups, etc. Not many yet, just a few (like, five of each) and stretches to finish.
I'm quite unfit now I'm on the other side of a tough time, but things are looking up. As long as I don't stop trying...
If you are in the same boat, don't give up!
Anyone can get their lives back on track. Never lose hope. 🤗
Off to work on the books now. I'm all mind and body strong today. Haha.
