All The Books...

On goes the attempt to work on multiple books at once, with the intention that one might stick...
...or I end up finishing all of them at the same time.
Either way, I'm fine with that! πŸ˜…
On Thursday, I tried out working on one title per hour. It worked to a certain extent, but I'm easily distracted, so maybe a five minute gap to plod and fuss about the flat may help before starting the next hour if I do this again.

Today is Saturday, so I'm sat in my comfy chair, with a hot chocolate because it's overcast outside, and trying to outline a Christmas Romance.
I've taken my other romance (originally deemed a 'Chicklit' but that isn't used as a name anymore, I think I read), a very Kinsella type story, and set it at Christmas. It works well, but I never outlined the whole thing, but did write about 5k or more of it.
So that's a rework and a plan to do.
And I feel festive, especially with the hot chocolate writing fuel next to me.

Yesterday, I began writing what I had decided for the Catchoak Horror/Suspense novel so far. I think I like it, and it's following one of my most favourite characters from the Phobia short story collections: a certain journalist by the name of Danny Bosh (he features in 'Everything's Blue in Fallowhills' and also 'Deep Feed').

Earlier in the week, I dug into my Cosy Mystery, which is a rather massive rewrite, so plenty to be getting on with there. πŸ˜…

And about the Children's High Fantasy, the results aren't in yet, but I'll be sure to share them once I hear back from all who I sent it to.
Just a note for those who aren't writers and may not know, but submission responses can take anywhere from a week to twelve weeks and yes, it's quite a long time, and no, no one enjoys the wait of it.πŸ˜„

Right, here in England it's almost time for tea, so I'm off to eat and watch Birds of a Feather on UKTV Play with my bloke.

Have a great weekend!

A Plot for Plotting...

Got some new folders to put my printed manuscripts, notes and notebooks for each of my pseudonyms/genres in. I've done all the housework and now I can sit and work out what book I want to write next.
No, I still can't settle on any one of them.
I've been half working on several for a week, with the hope of one eventually clicking with me. It happens all the time, and sooner or later, I do choose one to write over a few months and then finish.
I wonder if I can work on one and then another throughout the week...
Maybe I'll end up with a few done instead of just one.

What's Next?...

Having finished my Children's High Fantasy and sent it out on submission, I'm now trying to decide what to work on while I'm waiting on replies.
I have a couple of books I want to self publish, so they are next. But: I don't know which to do first, as I want to write them all...AT ONCE!πŸ˜…
I have the first cosy/cozy mystery (I've mentioned this one before) a few horror/suspense novellas, a horror novel (the first in the series) and - I'd like to try - a Christmas romance.

So, in this notebook pictured, I'm working out my plots, and I'll make overviews for two mysteries, one novella, one Christmas romance and the start of the horror novel.
Of course, with the intention, of writing the whole ruddy lot as soon as possible.

Thankfully, the British weather has decided not to cook us this year, so I'm not feeling groggy. (Trying to drown us, on the other hand, might be the goal, instead).

I have updated my blog/website to look a bit nicer, along with my socials. Appreciate a gander if you have time. Don't forget to check out my current books, as I have a few collections of stories out already.😊

Hope you're all having a lovely productive weekend.
Make time for a cup of tea.☕

Little Book Bookmarks...

Little bookmarks, with books, for books.
Except I'm going to use them for my organiser/planner.
I have cat and mouse ones, but these are quite nice, so I'll mix them.
The more the merrier! πŸ˜„
